Android 12 Coming Soon

Google updates its Android operating system once a year. Android 12 has been released as an update for 2021. Google says it builds on Android 11 from 2020, the biggest redesign in Android history.

Android 12 was announced at Google IO 2021. On October 4, the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) was released. Smartphone makers will be launching skincare on the Android 12 core and shipping it to their phones. Samsung, OnePlus, Oppo, Realme, Tecno, Vivo and Xiaomi will launch later this year. Delivery to Android 12-powered phones is usually done by phone manufacturers, and usually takes a month or two at least. So it is possible that Android 12 will not arrive until the end of 2021.

The beta version is currently being tested on Oppo, Nokia, OnePlus, Xiaomi, ZTE, Asus, TCL and iQOO. Once updated and stable, we will ship to Android 12 compatible phones. For Google’s Pixel phones, the Pixel 3 and later models will get Android 12. The new Pixel 3 and 4a will be available in the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro models.
